Ground truth weather,
everywhere.
WeatherXM builds weather stations, operates a global observation network, and turns ground observations into valuable data and accurate forecasts for businesses and communities.
Network snapshot: August 2026 · 5,900+ Active Stations · 4,300+ Synoptic Quality.
Forecasts are everywhere. Ground truth is not.
Forecasts can estimate weather almost anywhere, but they are still modelled predictions. Only physical weather stations measure what is actually happening at a specific place and time — data businesses can use to make better decisions and weather models can use to improve accuracy. Deploying enough stations to provide this ground truth everywhere is too expensive through traditional funding alone. WeatherXM uses affordable hardware and distributed deployment, while businesses that need hyper-local weather data help fund the network by paying for the data it produces. That is the mission of WeatherXM.
Choose how your station connects.
All of our stations monitor temperature, humidity, pressure, solar radiation, wind and precipitation. All outdoor units are solar powered with AA battery backup for wireless operation and easy cable-free deployment. Just choose how they connect to the cloud.
D1 - WiFi
Outdoor unit sends data wirelessly to an indoor TFT touch screen gateway that uses Wi-Fi to upload data to the cloud.
H2 - LoRaWAN
Low-power autonomous weather station compatible with any LoRaWAN network, pre-configured for Helium, just put outdoors and automatically connects.
Pulse - LTE
Outdoor weather station unit sends data to a solar powered outdoor cellular gateway for sites without fixed internet.
Native multi-hop LoRa mesh, solar-powered, optional local BLE + Wi-Fi gateway, 100% off-grid capable.

Native LoRa mesh.
No Cloud, Cellular or WiFi required.
Full weather where connectivity fails.
A complete open-source weather station kit compatible with LoRa mesh networks (Meshtastic and MeshCore). Includes a local Wi-Fi console for display, storage, local access and optional cloud sync. Designed for off-grid operations, remote infrastructure, emergency response and independent communities.
Local conditions.
Real decisions.
WeatherXM puts observations close to the places where weather actually matters — from transmission lines and ports to farms, wildfire zones, research sites, and major events.

Every WeatherXM observation is signed at the source, checked for quality in the cloud, and kept traceable to the station that produced it.
Signed at the Source
Each observation is cryptographically signed at the source, so it can travel over any network, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, cellular, or LoRa Mesh, while remaining verifiable and tamper-evident.
Checked for Quality
Automated Quality of Data (QoD) checks each observation for physical plausibility, consistency, and deployment context, then assigns a quality score before data is delivered to apps, APIs, x402 agent rails, and other services.
Ground Truth at Work
The PRO Portal adds value through services like Forecast Accuracy Tracking (FACT), which compares archived third-party forecasts with what stations actually observed on the ground, measuring and ranking forecast model accuracy.
WeatherXM makes affordable, people-powered ground truth dense enough to matter.
The physical world still needs people.
An observation exists only because someone installed a sensor in the right place and kept it working. Building dense ground truth is therefore a physical coordination problem, not just a hardware or software problem.
The WeatherXM Network rewards qualifying data contributions, giving operators an incentive to keep stations well sited, connected, and maintained over time. Rewards depend on contribution data quality ↗ — not simply on owning hardware.
