Full weather. Native mesh. No cloud required.
D2 Mesh pairs the WS1300 outdoor station with the WG1200 console for real weather measurement beyond reliable internet.
The Open Edition is coming to Crowd Supply. Wind, rain, temperature, humidity, pressure, solar illuminance, and UV index — delivered over long-range, multi-hop LoRa mesh with zero cloud dependency and no mandatory subscription.
Everything in the D2 Mesh Suite
The complete off-grid system: all-in-one meteorological sensor array, indoor touchscreen gateway, hardware crypto chip, remote battery holder, and rapid-install mounting kit.
Develop, flash and diagnose over BLE.

Deployment scenarios
Built for Places Where Internet Fails
D2 Mesh solves the two hardest problems in remote weather: long-range low-power telemetry and giving permanent mesh sites a useful, continuous physical job.
Remote Ridgelines & Multi-Hop Mesh
A WS1300 on a ridge or forest edge broadcasts continuous wind, rain, and pressure. Packet hops across intermediate solar repeaters to reach town nodes kilometers away with zero cellular coverage.
Private Acreage & Farm Microclimates
For vineyards, orchards, and ranches beyond cellular reach. Monitor frost warnings and soil moisture conditions. Station transmits over direct LoRa to the homestead console with 100% data sovereignty.
Wind-Sports, Marinas & Ridge Launches
Paragliding clubs, sailing schools, and kitesurfing spots avoid ongoing cellular SIM subscription fees. D2 Mesh broadcasts live 2-second wind gusts directly to pilots at the takeoff and landing zones.
Self-Hosting & Home Assistant
Automate smart home HVAC, storm shutters, and irrigation natively via local MQTT broker (Port 1883) and REST endpoints without trusting external vendor clouds or risking internet downtime.

Hall-Effect Wind Vane
Wind direction is measured using magnetic Hall-effect solid-state sensors with zero wiper contacts to corrode, drift, or wear down in dusty and maritime environments.
Zero-Loss Pulse Counting
A dedicated ultra-low-power sensor co-processor handles wind cup revolutions and rain bucket tips continuously, allowing the main dual-core MCU to sleep between transmissions without missing a single tip.
Swappable sensor module
The temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors reside on a user-replaceable module inside the radiation shield, allowing quick sensor replacement after years in the field without replacing the station body.
Power engineering
Solar-Assisted with Ground-Level Servicing
Engineered to maintain uptime through harsh winter freezes and multi-week low-light periods.
Multi-Tier Power Architecture
- 1. Integrated Solar Harvesting: Built-in 6.5V / 60mA monocrystalline solar panel powers daytime measurements and buffers internal capacitance.
- 2. Supercapacitor RF Buffer: Absorbs high-current LoRa transmit pulses, preventing voltage sag on battery banks during transmission.
- 3. 2.4V Low-Dropout Boost Converter: Runs the entire station down to 2.4V input voltage, extracting maximum usable energy from nearly exhausted cells.
- 4. Adaptive Transmission Cadence: Transmission interval automatically scales back if battery voltage drops during extended cloudy spells, guaranteeing zero system blackouts.
Remote 6×AA Battery Case with Maintenance Interface
Mount the station high on a mast where wind and sunlight are optimal, while mounting the IPX6 battery enclosure at chest height on the pole.
Full ground-level power cycle button without unmounting from the mast.
Drains all supercapacitors to 0V for a guaranteed cold boot troubleshooting cycle.
Install High, Service from the Ground: The outdoor array mounts high on the mast for undisturbed wind measurements, while the battery casing mounts at shoulder height.
Mesh Architecture & Airtime
Responsible Mesh Citizenship
A commercial device broadcasting on shared public sub-GHz channels must be quiet and respectful of channel capacity.
Direct Station-to-Console Link
The outdoor station transmits low-power WeatherXM packets directly to the indoor WG1200 console, which bridges data to your local Wi-Fi and Home Assistant.
Multi-Hop Meshtastic Broadcast
The station broadcasts standard Environment Telemetry onto the public LongFast channel, hopping across community repeaters to reach mobile clients kilometers away.
Channel Airtime & Transmission Budget
